NISSWA, Minnesota, USA – August 13, 2018 — GrowthZone, Inc., the market leader of association management software and services for Construction Trades and Building Associations, recently announced the winners of its inaugural Association Momentum Awards competition.
The competition recognizes innovative programs, events, and ideas from Building Industry Associations that challenge the status quo. Entries were received from a wide array of organizations of all sizes from across North America.
The winners were selected by a distinguished panel, including membership pro Mary Byers, AMS expert Ashwin Tutak, and GrowthZone Senior VP of Marketing John Cook.
Entries were judged on creativity, industry impact, value to the organization, value to members, and replicability. The overall competition winner was awarded the $1500 grand prize. Three additional $500 prizes were awarded to the first-place winner in each of the following categories: Small Association (200 members or fewer), Medium Association (201-700 members), and Large Association (700+ members).
The Asheville Builders Association (NC) was awarded the Grand Prize for its Annual Playhouse Showdown program. Also earning top recognition was the Large Association winner, Pennsylvania Builders Association (PA), with their Membership Video; the Medium Association winner, Tidewater Builders Association (VA), for its Meet the Trades event; and Small Association winner, University of Cincinnati Construction Student Association (OH), for its Construction Connections event.
Honorable Mentions included the BIA of Okaloosa-Walton Counties (FL), Charlotte-DeSoto Building Industry Association (FL), and Desert Valleys Builders Association (CA).
“All of the participating organizations have raised the bar by bringing fresh, imaginative ideas to the forefront of the association world. It was exceedingly difficult to narrow down the finalists. The innovation and creativity of the submissions are truly inspiring. We are grateful to membership expert Mary Byers for not only for evaluating the submissions, but also for her continued passion for helping member-based organizations grow and succeed,” commented John Cook, GrowthZone Sr. VP of Marketing.
