Getting to the Embassy

Parking

There is no public parking space within the Embassy. You can park in the streets nearby, where allowed.

Public transport

Unfortunately, there is no public transport in the vicinity of the Embassy.

Taxi

Taxis are widely available in Podgorica. They can be ordered by telephone or hailed on the street. Finding one at any time is not usually a problem, unless it is raining. Take a taxi and ask to be dropped off at ‘Britanska ambasada, Ulcinjska osam’.

Security

Due to the global threat currently posed by terrorism, and the targeting of Embassies, we do our utmost to ensure a safe and secure environment for your visit.

Please co-operate with the security team as they conduct their checks and controls, each of which should take only a few minutes. The security measures in place are for the benefit of all visitors and staff. Visitors to our office will have to go through the security checkpoint at the entrance. Mobile phones and electronic devices are not allowed into the building. Presenting an official ID (national ID card, passport or a driver’s licence) to the security team at the entrance is a requirement.

Disabled access

To assist disabled visitors, we have set out details of disabled access at this Embassy.

General physical access

  • entrances: special arrangements can be made to meet disabled visitors at the entrance
  • steps and staircases: all have handrails
  • floor coverings: inside the building, all coverings are safe and even
  • doors: supervised by the Embassy staff and are easily accessible although of restricted width
  • lighting: all areas are well lit
  • emergency/evacuation: staff available to assist disabled visitors in case of emergency or evacuation
  • phones: can be made accessible in public areas for wheelchair users.

Access for visually-impaired visitors

  • guide dogs are welcome in the Embassy building
  • signs to the offices are clear, but not available in Braille.

Access for deaf / hard of hearing visitors

  • hearing loops are not installed
  • minicom and text-phones are not installed
  • we do not currently have any staff familiar with the sign language
  • hearing dogs are welcome in the Embassy building.
