Kim Reuter

Biography

Kim Reuter has been the Development Director to the British Office Sudan (Addis Ababa) since August 2024.

Kim joined the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) in 2020, having previously worked in international development in senior advisory and management roles across Africa. She has worked with governments, multilateral, private sector and civil society organisations, initially with a focus on biodiversity and climate change and more recently on development partnership and diplomacy in fragile and conflict states. From postings in London and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (with the FCDO) as well as Kenya and Botswana (with regional non-governmental organisations), Kim’s work has altogether covered 20 different African countries throughout her career.

Kim has a PhD in Biology from Temple University and an Executive Master’s in Business Administration from Quantic School of Business and Technology. She has authored more than 50 publications, is a 2020 Churchill Fellow, and speaks English, German, and French.
