Barry Lowen

Biography

Barry Lowen was Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Mali from January 2021 until July 2022. He was previously Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Algeria.

Mr Lowen has worked in India, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UK Mission to the UN in New York, as well as roles in London, including on economic diplomacy and counter-radicalisation. He speaks French and Arabic.
