Description

During GFSv16 production runs a rare issue has been seen when the wave gridded post script attempts to access an output file before it has finished writing.

To Reproduce:

Run the production/GFS.v16 branch of ufs-weather-model from the global-workflow (release/gfs.v16.4 branch) on WCOSS2 with the production compiler stack.

Note: this is not an issue that is seen frequently, so following this step does not guarantee (in fact its unlikely) that the issue will occur. Though given the disruption it can cause to production runs the issue should be fix regardless of how infrequent.
