• Navigate to releases, select the most up to date version of the extension.
• Download the stackassist-x.x.x.vsix file

Steps

• Open VSCode
• Go to View > Extensions
• Click the more options ellipsis > Install from VSIX
• Select the downloaded file

Prerequisites

• code CLI being available in your terminal window: https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/editor/command-line
  • For Windows and Linux, this should already be available, for mac simple instructions to be followed

Steps

• Open a terminal or command line window, navigate to the directory of the download
• code --install-extension stackassist-x.x.x.vsix

To open a StackAssist chat window Cmd+Shift+P and type Start StackAssist
