RPU validation failed: 0 <= affected_dm_id = 32 <= DOVI_MAX_DM_ID

Input Info avsw: hevc(yv12(10bit))->p010 [AVX2], 3840x2160, 24000/1001 fps crop(0,280,0,280)

from dual layer BD... trying to make 8.1 mkv
whether I use the BD itself as source or the dv7.6 makemkv MEL...
i've tried creating the rpu with dovi_tool every possible way as well as trying to let nvencc convert it to 8.1

not sure if it's solely due to the cropping or what.

Would you please let me know the following 2 information?

  1. Would you please let me know the exact command line used?

  2. Would you please add --log-level debug --log log.txt and attach log.txt file? It will allow to know when the error is happening with more detailes.

Please try NVEnc 7.78 which might have fixed this issue. Previous version (from 7.75) had wrong rpu file handling.

thanks. so, strangely enough, I have noticed that the encode is more likely to finish with debug logging on. probably a separate issue.

i have yet to have a successful encode when i set dhdr10-info to copy, but the source media doesn't contain hdr10+ metadata.

any plans to handle DoVi 8.1 encode from a FEL source?

Unfortunately I don't have plans to handle DoVi FEL source.
