Self Checks

  • I have searched for existing issues search for existing issues, including closed ones.

1. Is this request related to a challenge you're experiencing? Tell me about your story.

  • We would like to handle file by python (i.e. perform pandas groupby to uploaded csv file, pass to iterator then aggregate)
  • Currently file cannot be passed to code node. File is handled by Doc Extractor and table data is converted to Markdown Table which is nice feature but lacks flexibility for advanced user.

2. Additional context or comments

Is there better way to handle complex data operation in Dify? (i.e. groupby, join, etc.)

3. Can you help us with this feature?

  • I am interested in contributing to this feature.

Hi, @maekawataiki. I'm Dosu, and I'm helping the Dify team manage their backlog. I'm marking this issue as stale.

Issue Summary:

  • You raised a need for enhanced file handling in Dify for complex data operations like pandas groupby on CSV files.
  • Currently, files are processed through the Doc Extractor, converting them to Markdown Tables, which limits advanced manipulation.
  • You are advocating for a more flexible approach to support sophisticated data operations directly within Dify.
  • There have been no further comments or developments on this issue.

Next Steps:

  • Could you confirm if this issue is still relevant to the latest version of the Dify repository? If so, please comment to keep the discussion open.
  • If there are no updates, this issue will be automatically closed in 15 days.

Thank you for your understanding and contribution!
