This feature has been released as experimental with the latest version (see Ghostfolio 2.86.0). |

Hi all,
Sharing an idea of more extensive analytics on the portfolio composition when holding ETFs.
Rationale:
When holding several ETFs, one can be unsure of exposure overlap of underlying assets which can come from different ETFs holding the same assets.
Why is this important:
Over-exposure can lead to concentration rather than diversification. Therefore, analyzing the overlaps between different ETFs can help make more informed portfolio decisions
Where can we see this work in practice:
MorningStars free portfolio tool XRay with stock overlap feature.
Out of all the other platforms I've tried I've only seen Morningstar nail this while also having a more complete ETF list. Ghostfolio has the latter which is why I think it'd be amazing with more analytics on the underlying asset levels to ensure I'm not overexposed to certain companies. Sector level is for me too high level and only tells a story about high level diversification and not the investment theme in more detail.
