Manually add Groups #67
Comments
No, it's not possible to manually add groups. Most of the time it's something in your network (router) that's blocking the discovery messages. |
Thanks for the swift response, I just found it works over ethernet something in my router is preventing it on wifi. |
On my router the setting is called UPnP. It can also be something like MDNS/multicast etc. |
Thank you, it's enabled so not sure what else it would be. I think it's
just my router being weird.

I don't know about your network setup. |
It's probably something like that, our router doesn't give control as fine
grained as that annoyingly. I'll give up for now until I can get a better
router.

Maybe your desktop is connected to a different router/wifi/subnet as the
Chromecasts are? (and ethernet is on the same subnet)

Unfortunately DAS cannot automatically find all the devices on my network but they play fine individually if I manually add the IPs to the config which I have done.
I have 2 Chromecast Audio in a Group, both of which have been added but the group is not detected.
Is it possible to also manually define that these play as a group so that they stay in sync?
