There is a request to test the MDTF-diagnostics package on data generated by ML-based ESMs (e.g., NeuralGCM, ACE-E3SMv2). The models write a limited subset of variables at subdaily intervals in netCDF format. The output files may not have all of the required metadata, and thus may need additional processing for framework and POD compatibility.
