Code for the Virtual and Augmented Reality coursework for the Virtual and Augmented Reality
submodule as part of the Contemporary Computer Science IV
module, taken in my fourth year of Computer Science (MEng) at Durham University.
For this project I created emulated firmware to read, process and analyse data from an IMU dataset (emulating a real IMU being used in a VR headset). This ranged from creating functional interfaces for processing data in different formats, to performing tilt- and yaw-corrected orientation tracking, to investigating positional tracking using double integration of accelerometer readings and a kinetic head model. The results are all discussed in the report.
