Greg Ashton, AIA
Design Director
Greg is a Design Director in Gensler’s Los Angeles office. He has been developing immersive, narrative-driven entertainment and hospitality experiences for nearly three decades in all project phases ranging from master planning and concept design to set design and field art direction. Greg joined Gensler because of our collaborative, global practice network and the opportunity to add storytelling and experience design to different styles and modes of practice. His role bridges storytelling, physical experiences, and architectural design with a collaborative approach that works to create compelling experiences that transport and immerse.
Before joining Gensler’s immersive experience practice, Greg was Executive Architect at Walt Disney Imagineering on some of their most ambitious and celebrated destinations including Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Pandora — The World of Avatar. Greg is a licensed architect in California. He received a Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona and a Master of Architecture from Harvard University.
