For the distribution of our newsletters, we use the software by the provider CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Schafjückenweg 2, 26180 Rastede.
For the registration to a newsletter, we use the so-called double-opt-in-method. This means that once you state your e-mail-address we send out an e-mail confirmation to the address given to us. With this mail, we ask for your validation that you wish to receive the newsletter. If you do not validate this, your registration will automatically be deleted at the end of six months. If you validate the reception of the newsletter, we save your e-mail-address until you unsubscribe from the newsletter you have chosen. The storage of the data only serves the purpose of being able to send the newsletter to you. Furthermore, we save your IP-address with every registration and validation as well as the instant of time of the distribution of the first e-mail, in order to prevent a misuse of your personal data.
Mandatory entry for the distribution of the newsletter only is the e-mail-address.
Your consent to the distribution of the newsletter can be withdrawn at any time. By the withdrawal of the consent, the legality of the processing until the withdrawal is not touched. The withdrawal can be professed by clicking the link that is provided with each newsletter or via a message to the contact data that are provided in the imprint. Your stated data will not be given to third parties.
We would like to point out that we evaluate your user behaviour when sending the newsletter. On the one hand, it is measured whether the newsletter is opened by the recipients ("opening rate") and on the other hand, whether content linked in the newsletter is visited ("click rate").
For this evaluation, the emails sent contain so-called web beacons, also known as tracking pixels. These are one-pixel image files that link to certain web pages and thus enable us to evaluate your user behaviour. This is done by collecting the data mentioned in section 4 (using a shortened IP address) as well as web beacons that are assigned to your e-mail-address and linked to your own ID. Links received in the newsletter also contain this ID. The newsletter provider stores the information collected in this way on its server in the European Economic Area.
Such tracking of the “opening rate” is not possible if you have deactivated the display of images by default in your e-mail program. In this case, however, the newsletter will not be displayed in full and you may not be able to use all functions. If you display the images manually, the tracking mentioned above takes place.
