About the Webinar

Nearly a third of India’s workforce is engaged -- higher than the global average. The country boasts the world’s fifth largest economy and continues to enjoy robust GDP growth. However, Gallup’s latest global study reveals trends in Indian workplaces that could undermine its status as an economic powerhouse. Two-thirds of Indian workers are either not engaged or actively disengaged. More worryingly, just 14% of employees rate their lives as “thriving” in terms of overall wellbeing.

This contrast between relatively high engagement and low wellbeing presents a challenge to Indian employers. Their employees require a workplace culture that engages them and fosters their wellbeing -- one in which they feel valued and inspired to contribute to the organisation’s mission and purpose.

In this webinar, Gallup workplace experts Rashi Singh and Puneet  Singh will reveal our latest research and insights on the state of Indian workplaces and offer advice to leaders about how to measure engagement and wellbeing, take actions to improve them and drive organisational performance. Prem Singh, NHRD National President, will also join them to share the collective views of the Indian HR community on this crucial topic.

You will learn:

  • the importance of understanding employee emotions in both measuring and creating a culture of engagement
  • how robust engagement metrics are predictive of employee and organisational performance
  • best practices in measuring workplace engagement and taking effective actions that improve employee engagement and wellbeing
  • the NHRD perspective on Indian workplace engagement and wellbeing
