I help people with indexed annutities. The index annuity earns interest based on the sp500 and can vary signifcantly based on dates. One way it is measured is point to point, so if your annuiversay date is sept 5th, the only two dates of the year that matter for the sp500 is sept 5. if you choose the monthly avg, there are 12 dates that matter and that would be the 5th of every month.
The problem I am running into is I am not sure how to make a formula where I can write the date in of their policy, and it shows for the past five years what each option has done on average to see which one would could possible earn more (not a gurantee but more data to help inform the client of any changes they may make).
I am able to do it manually where I pick out which dates I want, but I have literally no idea what to do to stream line this process. I guess it would be a combination QUERY and IF formulas.
