1 DESCRIPTION OF EXPECTED SOLUTION
A tool for creating print-ready postcards should be developed using Adobe Flash. This tool will be published on a website for customers to create self-made postcards, which can be sent to friends and colleagues.
1.1 MUSTHAVE CRITERIA
- A preset of predefined postcard formats should be used as canvas and “work space” for the customer to choose from.
- Additional formats must be addable without changing program code (e.g. using a xml configuration file).
- Formats can contain non-editable areas.
- Images can be dragged onto the canvas. These images have two origins: a system library and a user library.
- The users’ library must be externally loadable (e.g. using a [login to view URL], [login to view URL]); this must be passed in as an external parameter of the flash application.
- Images can be uploaded to the users’ library.
- Uploading must provide a status feedback (e.g. status bar).
- Images can be scaled in size.
- Images can be rotated.
- Images can be moved on the canvas.
- Text can be placed on the canvas
- Text can be formatted (e.g. size, color and style).
- Text can be aligned.
- Text can be moved on the canvas.
- The customer can design a front and a back side.
- The canvas must be viewable a zoom-range of 10% up to 200%.
- Text and image layers must be arrangable (e.g. bring to front/back).
- The tool must create an image with an min. DPI value of 150, preserving the layering and positioning of all elements on the canvas.
1.2 NICETOHAVE CRITERIA
- Opacity can be set on text and image layers.
- Images can be cropped.
- Rulers and grids.
- Snapping to rulers and grids.
- Guidelines as helpers.
- Snapping to guidelines.
- Postcard designs can be saved for later editing or reuse.
1.3 NOT WANTED FOR THIS SOLUTION
- Image filtering (e.g. blurs, dithers, scattering, artistic effects…).
- Image manipulation (e.g. hue/saturation, brightness, colors).
