WordPress Setup & Design Expert Needed for Blog Launch: SEO, Customization & Training Support. Considerations: I'M ONLY SEEKING PREFERRED FREELANCERS, THANK YOU. Project Description: I’m looking for a reliable and experienced freelancer to help me set up my WordPress blog called Alchemy of Unlearning - Unlearn your past, alchemize your future, which focuses on personal growth and alternative spirituality. This is a streamlined project focused on getting my blog ready to launch with all the essentials. I have a vision for the site and design ideas that I’ll share with you via Google Docs. Project Overview: I need a freelancer to assist with installing and setting up my WordPress website, including selecting and customizing a beginner-friendly theme that supports monetization, setting up essential configurations and plugins, and installing SSL. Additionally, I need basic training on using WordPress and Canva so I can confidently manage my site and create logos after setup. Tasks: 1. Install and Configure WordPress: • Download, install and set up WordPress on my EasyWP Namecheap hosting account. • Install a beginner-friendly theme template that supports customization and monetization (recommendations welcome). • Configure basic settings (site title, tagline, permalinks, timezone, etc.) and SSL Certificate: 2. Install & Configure SSL: • Activate and configure the SSL certificate I’ve already purchased and set up SSL for my website by accessing my hosting provider’s control panel. • Ensure SSL is active and properly configured for my domain and the site is secure (padlock icon in the browser). 3. Install Essential Plugins: • Recommend and install basic, beginner-friendly plugins (SEO, security, caching, page speed and caching, backup and recovery etc.). • Configure them for smooth functionality. • Integrating Google AdSense, affiliate programs, or e-commerce features if needed. • Ensuring the site structure and design are optimized for conversions. 4. Set Up a Simple, Professional Theme: • Install a beginner-friendly theme such as Astra, OceanWP, GeneratePress, Kadence). • Customize the theme based on my brand colors, fonts, layout and design preferences. I will provide a Google Doc with design ideas and pictures to guide the customization (e.g., photos, layout inspiration). The site will feature a blend of minimalist structure and maximalist visuals, incorporating moody, earthy tones and textures to create a rich, immersive experience. I have a detailed design document with ideas, images, and color schemes that I will share with the selected freelancer. I'm open to any and all suggestions and expertise! 5. Provide Basic WordPress Training: • Walk me through how to create and edit blog posts and pages. • Teach me how to use the theme and WordPress basics, including uploading content, modifying pages, adding images/media, and updating and customizing site elements. • Provide a simple walkthrough for Canva. • Teach me how to use plugins like SEO tools: 6. Ensure Basic SEO Setup: • Help me configure SEO settings for my site (e.g., indexing, metadata). • Provide a quick overview of how to optimize blog posts in the future. I would like to monetize right away. Deliverables: • A functional WordPress blog ready for me to start adding content. • A tutorial session to answer my beginner questions. Content and Visuals: • A Google Drive folder with: • Sample blog content. • Ideas for the homepage including: preferred colors, images and layout examples. • My brand colors, font ideas, and references of website designs I love. 2. Website Vision: • A rough outline of the website structure (e.g., homepage, blog section, about page, contact page). • A clear overview of my blog’s vision, mission, and purpose. 3. Clear Communication: • Access to shared Google Docs for ongoing feedback and collaboration. Free and open discussion and positive feedback/criticism that goes both ways! Any additional information/tools/resources you need to complete a high quality project efficiently. Preferred Skills: • Experience with WordPress installation and customization. • Familiarity with SEO tools like RankMath or Yoast. • Strong communication skills and willingness to teach a beginner.
