I need Water on a planet (a ThreeJS Sphere) surface. When you zoom in closely you should see the water moving. Its for a browser game, so i dont need the most realistic, glossy, shiny thing. I need the simple most effect with the highest possible accuracy. We dont have much resources for reflection and not much lighting (as we are in space) so it would be nice if the water can handle it most on its own (meaning if you need a sky for reflection you have to project it on it somehow).
I was experimenting with ripple effect shaders but saw there are also some nice material/texture techniques to achieve this. In the picture you see how the static texture looks now, something like that. The effect needs to be easy to scale properly with the radius of the sphere.
If you cant work with three but know how to do the shaders we may still be able to come to an agreement.
