Position Summary:
We are seeking SAS Administration Professionals to deliver exceptional technical support for our SAS platform users. This role is integral to ensuring system reliability, resolving user issues efficiently, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in SAS administration, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a dedication to customer success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the primary contact for T1/T2 support, resolving SAS platform server issues such as performance, configurations, and connectivity
• Perform routine administrative tasks, including user management, metadata updates, backups and access control
• Diagnose and troubleshoot incidents, escalating complex issues to engineering teams as needed
• Support SAS server maintenance activities, including patches, updates, log reviews and hotfixes
• Document incidents and resolutions in ticketing systems, ensuring timely and accurate update
• Assist users in navigating the SAS environment and resolving operational queries
• Contribute to the creation of a comprehensive knowledge base with clear, actionable documentation
• Ensure adherence to security protocols and compliance with organizational IT policies
Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Technical Expertise:
• Familiarity with SAS 9.x Intelligence Platform, including SAS Metadata Management
• Basic understanding of Linux/RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration
• Knowledge of SAS platform security and performance optimization
• Experience with SAS Visual Analytics administration (preferred)
• Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Linux shell scripting)
Additional Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to support user interactions
• Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira, ServiceNow, or similar platform
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Preferred Certifications:
• SAS Certified Specialist or equivalent (preferred)
Relocation and Evaluation Process:
• Candidates must be willing to relocate to Coimbatore, TN India
