Virtual Assistant for UK-Based Consultancy & Recruitment Business

We are a growing UK-based consultancy and recruitment business, and we’re seeking a talented Virtual Assistant (VA) to support the smooth running of our operations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the recruitment industry, ideally within the tech sector, and possess a passion for delivering excellence. Role Overview As our VA, you will assist with various administrative and operational tasks, focusing on client acquisition, candidate sourcing, and business management. You will also help streamline processes, manage communication channels, and contribute your ideas to improve our workflows. This is a part-time role with the potential to grow into a full-time position as our business scales. Although the initial rate will be lower due to the startup nature of our business, there will be frequent reviews and increases aligned with our success in attracting new clients. Key Responsibilities 1. Administrative Support • Managing email correspondence and calendars. • Coordinating meetings, appointments, and interviews. • Organising files and updating databases. 2. Recruitment Assistance • Supporting candidate sourcing and communication, particularly for tech-related roles. • Maintaining and updating our Applicant Tracking System (ATS). • Setting up and managing lead lists, ensuring they are accurate and up to date. 3. Lead Generation & Marketing • Creating and managing cold email campaigns using tools like Instantly or Apollo. • Finding and verifying contact details for senior decision-makers in companies (using Lusha or similar tools). • Engaging with prospects and nurturing leads on LinkedIn. 4. System Management • Managing business tools, such as GSuite, Slack, and Dripify, to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. • Assisting in the creation and refinement of automation processes. 5. Communication & Content • Drafting and proofreading emails, proposals, and other client-facing documents. • Contributing to our social media presence, particularly on LinkedIn. 6. Reporting & Feedback • Preparing weekly progress reports. • Monitoring campaign performance and recommending adjustments as needed. 22. Scheduling and posting regular updates on social media channels to engage with our audience and attract new clients. Essential Skills and Experience • Strong written and spoken English (required for client communication). • Prior experience in UK recruitment, ideally in the tech industry. • Familiarity with lead generation tools and techniques. • Proficient in using business software, including GSuite, Slack, Dripify, Instantly, Apollo, and Lusha. • Advanced knowledge of LinkedIn for business use. • Ability to work UK business hours (GMT). • Experience with cold email campaigns, nurturing leads, and client outreach. Desired Skills (Nice to Have) • Familiarity with CRM systems and ATS software. • Basic graphic design skills for creating professional documents or social media posts. • Experience with video tools like Loom or Vidyard for client outreach. • Understanding of GDPR compliance, particularly in data handling. • Knowledge of other recruitment and marketing tools.
