Valentina Barbacci works with corporations, non-profit organisations and philanthropists to address social, environmental, and governance (ESG) issues around the world through business development, report writing, and social impact measurement. Organisations she has worked with include: Volex plc and TT Electronics plc global operations; Burma Human Rights Network in Myanmar (Burma); BioSure and the Utley Foundation's Music for Dementia in the UK; Media Matters for Women in Sierra Leone and the Democratic Republic of Congo; and the Association for the Protection of Women's and Children's Rights in Cameroon.
She is an author of several published articles about economic development in Africa, investing in women’s education in remote communities, human trafficking and modern slavery. She has helped clients write and publish books on human development and psychology, including Rhys Photis's “The Turquoise Brick Road” ([login to view URL]) and an upcoming book about adult relationships and their linkages with childhood trauma.
She holds a BA in International Relations and Journalism from Boston University, and studied International Human Rights Law and Practice at the London School of Economics. She speaks English, Italian, French, and Spanish, and also studied Turkish, Russian and Latin.
