Project Requirement Document
Objective:
Develop an AI system that processes a new case file in PDF format and provides:
1. A lawyer preparation document (e.g., arguments, precedents, and strategies).
2. A decision prediction (e.g., potential outcomes, legal reasoning).
The system should utilize existing case data for training and inference.

Data Structure:
The input data is organized in numbered folders containing case-related documents. For example:
• /1/01_case_files/ — Contains the case file (PDF).
• /1/02_lawyer_presentation_document/ — Contains the lawyer's preparation documents (PDF).
• /1/03_Decision/ — Contains the decision (PDF).
• Similarly for /2/, /3/, etc.
The system should process these existing folders to create a knowledge base for retrieval and training.

Workflow Requirements:
1. PDF Data Processing:
o Extract text from PDFs in 01_case_files, 02_lawyer_presentation_document, and 03_Decision folders.
o Preprocess and clean the text for use in training.
2. Similarity Search:
o When a new case file (PDF) is uploaded, the system should compare it with existing cases to find the most similar cases.
o Use FAISS or another high-performance similarity search tool to index and retrieve similar cases based on embeddings.
3. Embedding Generation:
o Generate vector embeddings for case documents using a suitable AI model such as LangChain embeddings or LLAMA.
4. Model for Output Generation:
o Use an AI model like LLAMA, GPT-3.5, or similar to:
Generate a lawyer preparation document based on the retrieved similar cases.
Provide a predicted decision for the new case based on patterns observed in past cases.
5. Key Outputs:
o A lawyer preparation document tailored to the new case, referencing similar cases and legal strategies.
o A decision prediction based on legal reasoning and retrieved case outcomes.
6. User Interaction:
o Allow users to upload new case PDFs.
o Display or download the generated lawyer preparation document and decision prediction.
