I'm seeking a highly skilled software designer to develop an advanced Desktop Software specifically designed for my convenience store. The primary emphasis of the software should be on creating a robust Point of Sale (POS) system, essential for optimizing our sales operations and enhancing customer transactions. Additionally, it should incorporate comprehensive back-office management functionalities. While I currently utilize a POS software, I'm keen to collaborate with a freelancer who can develop an application from scratch, incorporating the features of my existing software while adding enhancements to make it a leading solution in the market. I envision establishing a business around this software, partnering with the freelancer to capitalize on its potential **Key Requirements:** - **POS System Design:** Craft a user-friendly interface that supports fast and efficient transactions. It must include features like product lookup, barcode scanning, payment processing, and receipt generation. - **Customisation Capabilities:** The software should allow for easy adjustment to meet the specific needs of my retail environment, including adding or removing products, pricing adjustments, and promotions. - **Security Features:** Implement secure login mechanisms for staff with different access levels and ensure that all transaction data is securely stored and managed. - **Compatibility:** The software must be compatible with existing hardware or suggest the most cost-efficient hardware options suitable for a retail setting. - **Offline Functionality:** Ensure that the POS system is fully operational even during an internet outage, with the capacity to sync data once the connection is restored. The Software must accommodate multiple barcode fields for same product. It should have fields to insert its outer/pack and cost. Qty field giving auto cost price, minimum reorder, fields to insert at least 2 sets of expiry date per field, automatic export date alert.
