I'm seeking a creative writer to craft extensive backstories for each character in my novel. These backstories should be richly detailed, delving into the characters' childhoods, careers, and relationships. The ideal freelancer for this project should have a strong background in character development and storytelling, with the ability to weave intricate narratives that enhance the overall plot of the novel.

Character Backstories 'Element Swordsmen' Contest Rules

Read through the story, understand the best you can before providing your version of their backstories.

Backstories shouldn’t copy/ steal from another. Avoid including anything from other works or any other backstory.

In brief, the character's roots, and childhood.

A significant moment or event that shaped their character and skills.

Their quest to become Swordsman wielders of their respective elements.

The defining relationships or challenges they faced that shaped their development.

All backstories must comply strictly with the lore of the Element Swordsmen. Don’t break or contradict any Lore elements.

In the following order, the backstories must be written out.

Riverside.

Grounder.

Windsor.

Characters cannot show any magical ability before obtaining a sword that is active. Though, potion-making is allowed.

Recall that when Riverside and Grounder meet Firestorm, both their swords were in shell state and at that point, Windsor has not yet found a sword.

Each character story must be remarkable, well-architected and must exhibit the uniqueness of our characters.

Is Riverside a male or female character? Sometimes he is called him, but other times he is called her.

  The fact that Riverside is referred as male is because people don’t fully understand the story or don’t read at all.
  
  You have to read the story, understand what’s going on before competing with the narrative.
  
  I don’t want to know what you capable of, that’s not the point, the winner of contest will have their submission as part of the narrative. It’s IMPERATIVE to NOT BREAK LORE.

  I am reading it; I just wanted a clarification. I didn't know it was deliberately done to weed out non-readers. It's an interesting tale, and the overall plot is good. It reminds me of the Song of Ice and Fire Series. I am glad to be part of this.
