Role Overview: R&D Engineer Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu Key Responsibilities: • Product Development & Redesign: Develop new electronic products and redesign existing ones. Conduct research and testing on product concepts to improve functionality and performance. • Circuit Design: Design and develop power electronic circuits in close collaboration with clients, development teams, and production teams to meet project requirements. • Future Product Development: Participate in design concept studies, development studies, and the creation of technical documentation and specifications for future products. • Testing & Documentation: Design test equipment, conduct tests, and create detailed documentation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of products. • Component Selection: Select industrial-standard electronic components for development projects based on product requirements and specifications. • Client Interaction: Coordinate with clients regarding technical concepts, present outputs, and obtain sign-off on project milestones and deliverables. Required Technical Skills: • Design Tools: Basic knowledge of design tools such as Cadence (Orcad), Altium, and EasyEDA. • Programming Languages: Proficiency in C, C++, Embedded C, basic knowledge of Data Structures, HTML, and Python. • Embedded Systems: Intermediate-level programming knowledge of microcontrollers and microprocessors. • IoT & Communication Systems: Experience with IoT projects and various communication protocols, along with experience in embedded systems development. • Good logical thinking Required Experience: • Educational Qualification: Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Electronics. • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in hardware design development, particularly in electronic products and systems. • Comfort in a Startup Environment: Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of power electronics design, product development, electrical design simulation, magnetic components, and measurement techniques. • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in English to engage in effective technical discussions with international clients.
