Draughtsman for Detailed Joinery Plans - 3 Month Project.

I'm currently in need of three skilled draughtsman/draughtswoman specializing in the production of bespoke joinery and interior fitout drawings for a major construction project in London. This project will be approximately 3 months in duration, and should realistically be considered as a full time role. I have many more projects in the pipeline, and I am looking to assemble a team of skilled and reliable freelances to work with on an ongoing basis once this project has been completed.
Key points about the people I require:
- Ideally, your primary draughting tool will be Autodesk AutoCAD and/or Inventor. I am however open to any other software packages that you may use. Providing you can produce drawing PDF's for the client and detailed manufacturing drawings for the factory / site installation teams there shouldn't be any problems.
- You must be highly creative and a good problem solver. The work we undertake is extremely high end and highly bespoke.
- You must have a very good understanding of joinery techniques and be familiar with working with the following materials; MDF, Solid timber, Veneers, Laminates, Glass, Acrylic, Solid Surface, Stone, Steel, Aluminium.
- You will have an understanding of and be able to make allowances for M&E, as well as a basic understanding of kitchen / catering appliances.
- Ideally you will have the capability to undertake the CNC take-off / set-out geometry for manufacturing. (examples will be provided). This is not essential however it would be highly beneficial.
- You must be available to start in early July. The project has been won, and the final details are currently being resolved, however the exact start date has not been confirmed.
- You must possess (and be willing to provide confirmation of) professional liability insurance.
- You're willing to work on an hourly rate and keep a 'timesheet' recording the hours spent against each item you are responsible for. Ideally you'll be happy to submit an end of month invoice, however I understand that initially you may want to bill more regularly.
Key points about the project:
- I will be available to discuss / run through each item prior to you commencing work. I will also be available to run through all details and answer any queries you may have. We will be working closely together throughout the duration.
- I will be providing you with existing architectural drawings/models/renderings. You'll be focusing solely on the joinery and interior fitout detailing only. The documentation provided will include finish and equipment schedules, as well as a full suite of general architectural drawings (GA's, Partition layouts, floor finishes, RCP's etc.).
- I will be providing you with a set of standard details / assemblies that we will try to work with as much as possible. Due to the bespoke nature we will undoubtably have to make changes to these, however you will not be working from a 'blank slate'.
- I will be providing you with project programme outlining critical dates / deadlines that must be achieved.
- The level of detail I require is comprehensive; I require full construction / manufacturing details and plans. The typical workflow will resemble the following:
1. The production of initial approval drawings from architectural drawings/plans.
2. Revision of these drawings based on comments / feedback from myself (expected to be minor due to ongoing feedback)
3. Submission of the initial approval drawings to the architect / main contractor (typically a 2 week comment / turnaround period).
4. Revision of these to construction drawings based on client feedback/comments.
5. The production of breakdown drawings and/or CNC geometry for manufacturing.
It should be noted that site surveys will have to be incorporated as the site progresses - This may require the construction drawings to be revised.
