Android Developer for Biosignal Bluetooth App

Position: Android Developer for Trimodal Circuit Biosignal App We are seeking a talented and experienced Android Developer to join our team for an innovative project involving the development of a trimodal circuit capable of sending and receiving multiple biosignals via Bluetooth. This circuit is powered by an STM32 microcontroller, and your role will be to design and develop a feature-rich Android application that interfaces with the circuit, ensuring smooth communication, real-time data processing, and an intuitive user experience. This is a project-based opportunity with a clear deliverable goal from start to finish. Key Responsibilities: App Development: Design and develop a high-quality Android application using Android Studio to interface with the STM32-powered trimodal circuit. Bluetooth Integration: Implement Bluetooth communication (classic-serial and BLE GAP/GATT profiles) to send and receive biosignal data (e.g., ECG, EMG, EDA) from the STM32 circuit. Real-Time Processing: Optimize the app for real-time biosignal processing, visualization, and display. STM32 Collaboration: Collaborate with the hardware team working on the STM32 microcontroller to ensure seamless integration between the app and the embedded system. Testing and Debugging: Perform rigorous testing and debugging to ensure app stability, security, and performance. User Interface: Create an efficient, responsive, and user-friendly interface for monitoring multiple biosignals in real time. Required Skills: Proven experience in Android app development using Android Studio. Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin for Android app development. Strong understanding of Bluetooth communication and experience integrating Bluetooth modules (e.g., HC-05, BLE). Familiarity with biosignal data formats (e.g., ECG, EMG, EDA) and real-time data processing techniques. Ability to design and implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces. Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of best practices for Android development and app performance optimization. Experience collaborating with embedded systems such as STM32 microcontrollers. Preferred Skills: Experience with biosignal processing and data visualization. Familiarity with wireless communication protocols and real-time data transmission. Knowledge of multi-threading, mutexes, and semaphores for handling biomedical signals. Experience with cloud integration or database management for data storage. Proficiency in Flutter or React Native is a plus but not required. Additional Requirements: Fluent in English with excellent communication skills. Comfortable conducting online meetings (via Zoom or Webex) to collaborate with the hardware team. You’ll primarily focus on explaining how to connect the STM32-powered circuit to the phone and ensure smooth integration. A portfolio or past projects showcasing experience with Bluetooth communication, STM32 microcontrollers, and biosignal-based applications is highly desirable. Project Details: This is a fixed-price project (not hourly). The total payment is based on successfully completing all project deliverables from start to finish. Your work must cover all required tasks as outlined, ensuring the final product meets project goals.
