Recently we moved from shared hosting to a vps. The beginning was promising. A far better performance, but since a week the site is very slow and often inaccessible. There’s unusual unidentified traffic. This causes cron jobs to take ages or even fail, website loading failing, the magento backend unavailable, failing to receive and forward emails to my private account, failing the adobe security and google pagespeed insights scans.
Your task is to identify and report to me the cause(s) of these problems and if not evident discuss with me a solution. Then implement the solution, test it, let me test and you solve any reported bugs from implementing your solution. You write down which changes you did and at the end send me this list.
If you have good knowledge I expect that you would not spend more than 4 hours on this. Maybe it is something easy and have identified and fixed it already within an hour. But as some problems can turn out to be complexer than initially thought, it could be more.
Payment is when the issues have not returned within a week after you declare the problems as solved. Don't ask for intermediate payment; there's only one milestone in this mini project.
You get full access to the server which is hosted at Contabo and the Magento backend. You treat data as confidential. Customer data will not be transferred to your local environment. After this task you delete all data that you exported from my site/server.
You have good knowledge about server processes, tweaking servers and settings to obtain a performing Magento website. You can write proper understandable English and reply to my questions on the chat within minutes (except night time).
You can start immediately, not over a couple of days. The work should be finished within 2 days.
