My name is Elena, I have a degree in translation from the University of Vigo and I am a specialist in the localisation of video games. My main objective and interest is to promote the use of Galician in the video game industry. For this reason, I have dedicated my Master's thesis to the development of an elementary terminographic dictionary for the development of video games in Galician, with equivalents in Spanish, English and French. I am also currently a PhD student in Translation and Paratranslation, and my thesis deals with the translation of video games into Galician as a tool for linguistic standardisation. I believe that one of the most important qualities of a person is their ability to improve, so I am always trying to learn and improve my profile in order to offer the best possible results. For this reason, I complement my university education with various courses and by collaborating in the coordination of the ParatradIT-2024_Uvigo_T&P Congress.
