Project description :

I want a web application that can download the contact details of businesses from this website

( https:// parkbench [ DO T ] com /san-francisco /businesses )

This is a directory listing website, which lists businesses based on location. The city name is "San Francisco" in the above URL

Your task is to write a web scraping code and upload it onto my FTP folder. When called via a web browser, your code should display a webpage which allows me to define a variable called "City name".

When city name is submitted , it should find all entries on with that City name. For example, in the page above, you can see that it has listed businesses like

https:// parkbench [ DO T ] c om / directory /lovejoys-tea-room

From each page I want these 4 data fields to be extracted and displayed on the output table page. In the above example:

1. Name of the business "Lovejoy's tea room" (This is on the left side at the top of the page)

2. Category "Coffee & Tea Shops " (This is below the name of the business)

3. Address "1351 Church St, San Francisco, CA 94114" (This is on the right side of the page, below the map)

4. Phone number "+14156485895" (This is below the address)

The output page will be a text-based table that displays these 4 fields in 4 columns, plus a 5th column which displays the "City name" which was originally submitted e.g., "San Francisco"

This is an intensive, manual work project that will take at least 4 hours of dedicated effort to understand the website structure and write the correct code.

What we are looking for - Your ideal skills and experience:

- Strong experience in PHP coding, preferably in creating scraper tools

- Excellent attention to detail

- Proficiency in using search engines and online databases

- Ability to work efficiently and meet strict deadlines

Project Scope:

- The output data should be accurate and up-to-date.

- The project needs to be completed within the timeline.

Deliverables:

- A well-organized output page containing the contact details, which can be changed based on the input city name (variable)

Note: Only freelancers with proven experience in writing web scrapers and PHP code should apply. Accuracy and efficiency are crucial for this project.

We will randomly check a few records for accuracy before releasing the payment milestone, so please work carefully and try to finish as quickly as possible.
