Dynamic Bible Platform Based off the books of the bible

I currently have 3 separate installations of word-press that function as one website (not by choice), They are dated and becoming unmanageable and accessible a lot of the time. I’m looking for a solution that can move us away from this CMS onto a custom website which can dynamically render the website from the 1000’s of pdf files I have written over the years. The format of the pdfs are biblical. Folders separated by the books of the bible and within them the chapters of the books. I’m looking for the most simplistic way of doing this. I don’t need flashy content but I need it to be accessible to all. The functionality on the pages would be.. pdf content (embedded or converted) with the options to go forward/backwards and download said pdf. I want the ability to replace the pdf (I edit typos and other parts of the pdfs often) and have it be done and over. The page is updated from replacing the file. Some more information: I have a dedicated server for the next 3 years. I’ve already paid for this and plan to host the website here. I also have 3 domain names, also paid for in advance. I’ll have the dns point to the loading page of the new site once things are ready to go. I’m expecting the custom site to require some skillset with higher programmer languages for the templates with the expectation being that I can keep the folder layout with the books -> chapters -> bookname-chapter-1, bookname-chapter-2. Because there are 1000’s of these files the template would need to have the ability to render the file system to know how many files. Because I have a dedicated server we can use apache2/nginx or whatever else needs to be used to run the server. As for user input on the website, it would be near 0. I have a donation link through PayPal and I do most of the communication via email with the readers. There wouldn’t be a need or want for users to have input of any kind on the site.
