I'm looking for an Azure Solution Architect to assist with a bid and answer specific queries related to our migration from on-premise to the Azure cloud. Key Areas of Focus: - Data Migration: We need to move our servers, databases, applications, and networking equipment over to Azure. - Security Implementation: Ensuring the new cloud setup is secure. - Cost Optimization: Making sure the migration process is cost-effective. Current On-Premises Setup: 3.1 Our current infrastructure is made up of 4 hyper-v hosts, 1 SAN and 22 virtual servers all running Windows Server (except 1 Citrix Netscaler VPX server). An outline of the servers proposed as part of this migration project are detailed below: 3.2 Our servers are made up of domain controllers (AD, DHCP, DNS), SQL servers, application servers, Citrix RDS and Storefront, web services, file and print server and reporting. 3.3 Networking within the office is Ubiquiti switches and access points with a Sophos firewall. 3.4 There are 4 WAN connections within the office with a 1Gbps main connection and 3 SoGEA 80/20 connections. 3.5 There are multiple connections to various 3rd party suppliers via API’s, VPNs and IP restrictions for sharing data. 3.6 We have Microsoft365 which we use for our Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, PowerBI, InTune, etc. Proposed Infra- 4.1 We are looking to move to a fully cloud based solution to help upgrade and streamline the current systems into a more efficient setup. 4.2 A replacement of the current Citrix RDS solution is required as this is key to the business. This runs our key applications, so it is an important part of this project. 4.3 CVG are required to undertake an upgrade to the current Housing Management System (HMS) by Autum 2025 and require the replacement RDS solution to be implemented in time for this upgrade. 4.4 Working with our other third party suppliers, it is key to ensure all data continues to be shared appropriately once the migration is undertaken. 4.5 While we predominantly have Microsoft products, we are open to take advice and best practice from the winning supplier on the way forward to achieve our requirements.
