Job Description:
Are you an SEO-savvy professional with a passion for travel and exceptional writing skills? We’re seeking a dedicated SEO Audit & Content Editor to join our team and enhance our “SEO Audit & Edit Program.” This program transforms customer-provided travel-themed articles, optimizing them for SEO, improving quality, and publishing them on our high-traffic blog. By doing so, we boost our clients' visibility and drive more traffic to both their brands and our blog through strategic backlinks.
Responsibilities:
SEO Auditing: Analyze customer-provided travel articles using SEO tools to identify and address SEO errors and opportunities.
Content Editing: Revise and enhance articles for readability, SEO optimization, and overall quality while maintaining the original objective and voice.
Keyword Optimization: Research and implement effective focus keyphrases, optimize meta titles and descriptions, and ensure keyphrases are appropriately placed throughout the content.
On-Page SEO: Optimize subheadings, image alt attributes, and internal linking to improve SEO performance.
WordPress Management: Upload, format, and publish edited articles on WordPress, ensuring proper SEO settings and adherence to best practices.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all content meets our high standards for grammar, style, and SEO effectiveness.
Project Management: Handle up to 30 articles simultaneously, managing deadlines and maintaining organization to ensure timely delivery.
Requirements:
Proven experience in SEO auditing and content editing, preferably within the travel niche.
Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency in WordPress, including content uploading, formatting, and basic troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of SEO best practices and familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., Yoast SEO, SEMrush, Ahrefs).
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a remote team.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with content management systems (CMS) beyond WordPress.
Knowledge of Google Analytics and other SEO analytics tools.
Familiarity with HTML/CSS for minor content adjustments.
Experience with AI to improve writing in timely and consistent manners.
Background in travel journalism or related fields.
Payment Terms:
Flexible payment options available: $8-9/hour, or up to $13/per project. Projects should always take between 30-60 minutes. (please see FUTURE OPPORTUNITY at bottom of email)
