I'm seeking a skilled software developer with Python expertise to create an app controller for a tractor. The app's primary function is to facilitate data collection and analysis of small raw product volume on a conveyor belt through the integration of multiple sensors, starting with a Lidar sensor and potentially expanding to include mmradar and colour imagery in future iterations. Integration of GPS, and connect ability through ISO Bus is handy. Key Responsibilities: - Develop Python software to connect and process data from various sensors. - Prioritize real-time data processing capabilities within the app. - Generate visual feedback on a display as the primary output of the data analysis. Ideal Skills and Experience: - Familiarity with Linux and Github. - Proficient in Python with a strong background in software development. - Knowledge of real-time data processing and display output generation. - Familiarity with machine learning and AI is a plus for future project phases. - Fluent in English. Optional but highly advantageous: - Experience with 3D point cloud sensors including capturing and analysing the data. - Understanding 3D sensor output, identifying anomalies and reflections and filter them out. - Experience with ISOBUS and C-BUS development. There is three main components for this scope of work: - Sensor data capture - Data storage, manipulation and analysis - Output to C-BUS or ISOBUS for the tractor HUD. Current setup is a Development Raspberry Pi 5 with a CS20 LIDAR here: [login to view URL] We are looking to evaluate a mmWave Radar here: [login to view URL] The Raspberry Pi will be on board the tractor capturing and manipulating the data in real time. The goal is to create a robust software that not only meets current needs but is also adaptable for future innovations. Please provide examples of similar projects you've completed in your proposal. To be created to measure Yield Hort and Agricultural. Please submit your bids with previous examples of similar work and references that can be verified. The successful applicant will be provided with a github account, invited to Microsoft Teams, and a login to the Raspberry Pi for development work and testing.
