Me 19 Nov 2024, 10:58 Hi, I'm looking for someone to write me a Python script that will populate a PowerPoint template file with values from a given data dictionary file using python-pptx library. Our existing program will generate the data dictionary file, which will essentially be an id-to-value mapping, and all the respective id's in the PPT template should be replaced with the mapped values. This is to allow our clients to create an automated report as the ID's should remain constant across analysis runs. I asked ChatGPT to design such a program and it's in the right direction - [login to view URL] The idea would be to start with a basic command-line utility and, if we work well together, I would ask you to add features to this utility as additional small paid projects. The basic version would need to be able to: - update a text field within PPT with a provided value in the data file - update a table within the PPT with the provided table data in the data file - update a line chart within the PPT with the provided line chart data in the data file - user messages written to a JSON file that can be read by our program to notify the user if the PPT was updated successfully, or if there were errors and which parts of the PPT couldn't be updated The data dictionary will be provided in JSON format. The script should be compatible with Ubuntu. Default formatting for the PowerPoint elements is acceptable. Please log any errors to a file with details on which parts of the PPT couldn't be updated.
