I'm not where to do but only to give you idea =) First time I'm here let me guide you for the system you need "Automation workflow system" 1 - Base on SQL server you need some procedure looking at one folder in your PC/Server to collect all files you put there (.csv / .xls )!!Be aware if your have a SQLServer 64bit install you can not open .xls via procedures because is incompatibility but you can open .Xlsx more recent version. 2 - drop the files in folder SQL server it will read and register the files (File ID,name ,date,format) 3 - process Table where you define the steps of the workflow and what procedures need to be run in each step. 4 - the system need to create a task per file or multiple files to follow the workflow and you can register the history. 5- procedures in SQL calling power-shell to publish a Power-bi Report 6- You can use in SQL Server -> EXEC msdb.dbo.sp_send_dbmail (easy to send information to your email about the process) About API you need some one can do a web page where you can check the history of your task and upload files to be process. The easy thing is this web-page only need to send files to your share folder and the system it will pick up =) If you like to got farther with this system you can start to create more folders and assign each folder for specific process. !!All sql part is easy to do but web page is not my filed =) hope this free information help you to thing about what you need =) if you need more ideas ping.

I read your requirement and here is what I think you need. you need a platform where such analysis can be done and results given in real time . let me tell you one thing, excel is great but when it comes to intensive data processing it's not that good , infact it's not made for that, though it is easy to have your dataset in excel as you can visually see it ,but performing complex queries is not what it's cut for . I can help you develop a platform where these datasets from excel etc can be imported into a database preferably a nosql db and then queries be performed over it using a back end language like Python . let me know if u r intrested
