I need a seasoned hardware designer to compactly redesign the Arduino Nicla Vision board for fitting in smart glasses. The new design should keep all vital functionalities - text scanning, text recognition, and wireless communication, while also optimizing for size and power consumption. Key Responsibilities: - Redesigning the Arduino Nicla Vision board for a smart glasses form factor. - Ensuring all essential functionalities are retained and power consumption is minimized. - Designing the PCB layout to fit optimally within the smart glasses frame. - Identifying and sourcing compact components suitable for the new design. - Integrating a suitable, compact battery to ensure adequate power supply. - Ensuring seamless integration of Bluetooth or Wi-Fi modules for wireless communication. - Ensuring signal integrity in the redesigned PCB layout to avoid any data loss. - Developing or adapting firmware to suit the new hardware configuration. - Conducting thorough testing and validation of the redesigned board in real-world conditions. - Providing detailed documentation of the design process, components used, and any custom firmware developed. Ideal Skills: - Extensive experience with miniaturized circuit design and Arduino boards. - Prior work with smart glasses or similar wearable technology. - Ability to balance size reduction, power efficiency, and functionality retention.
