Upgrade Workflow Software from PHP 3 to Latest Version with New Features
Project Description:
I have a legacy workflow management software built in PHP 3, which needs to be upgraded to the latest stable PHP version (preferably PHP 8.2 or later). The project includes the following tasks:
1) Upgrade Existing Codebase:
Transition the software to the latest PHP version while retaining all current workflow functionalities.
Address compatibility issues, deprecated functions, and any bugs that arise during the upgrade process.
2)Enhance the Workflow Features:
Add new features and functionality to improve the software's efficiency and usability based on a detailed feature file that I will provide.
3)Optimize Performance:
Ensure that the upgraded software is optimized for speed, scalability, and secure operation.
Important Note:
I have all the old PHP 3 files available for reference, but if the files are insufficient for the upgrade or impractical to use, I am open to creating a completely new workflow system from scratch.
Requirements:
1)Proven experience with upgrading legacy PHP applications, especially workflow or business management systems.
2)Ability to refactor old code efficiently or build a new system from the ground up if required.
3)Expertise in debugging and performance optimization.
Deliverables:
1)Fully upgraded, bug-free software compatible with PHP 8.2 or later (or a new system built if needed).
2)Any new features added, tested, and documented.
