Expert WordPress/WooCommerce Developer with Proven Plugin Development Experience

Overview:
We’re seeking an expert WordPress/WooCommerce developer with proven custom plugin development experience. This ongoing role involves maintaining and improving a complex, high-traffic eCommerce site. Candidates must have a solid background in building custom plugins, optimizing performance, ensuring cross-browser/device compatibility, and integrating third-party APIs.
Key Responsibilities:
Custom Plugin & Feature Development: Build and refine custom plugins, modify WooCommerce workflows (payment gateways, order handling), and implement new features.
Testing & Troubleshooting: Debug complex issues in PHP, JS, and CSS. Ensure seamless functionality across browsers and devices.
Performance & Compatibility: Optimize speed, scalability, and Core Web Vitals. Confirm compatibility with major plugins, themes, and third-party integrations.
Maintenance & Security: Keep WordPress core, plugins, and themes up-to-date. Strengthen security and handle server-level configurations (e.g., Cloudflare, cPanel).
Workflow Automation: Integrate tools (e.g., Gravity Forms, WooCommerce, Dropbox) and automate order processing and related tasks.
Requirements:
Expert-level WordPress & WooCommerce skills
Proven track record in custom plugin development
Proficient in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery
Experienced in performance optimization (e.g., WP Rocket) and server configuration
Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities
Familiarity with payment gateways (Stripe, Apple Pay) and advanced workflow automation
Preferred:
Experience managing high-traffic eCommerce sites
Innovative problem-solving skills
Familiarity with accessibility (WCAG) and SEO best practices
