CONSUMER ELECTRONICS DESIGN EXPERT

We are looking for an innovative and talented Product Designer to help us create a remote . The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall design, ergonomics, and user experience of the remote, ensuring it is both functional and aesthetically appealing. This role will require working closely with our engineering team to ensure the design is manufacturable and meets both electrical and mechanical requirements. Key Responsibilities: Design the overall appearance and functionality of the remote control. Collaborate with electronics engineers to ensure the design supports the internal hardware. Create detailed 3D CAD models of the remote and prepare them for prototyping. Define the user experience (UX) and make design choices that are intuitive and easy to use. Work on ITSdigital display, ergonomics, and comfort. Research and select materials and finishes that balance cost, durability, and aesthetic appeal. Prepare design documentation for manufacturing Qualifications: Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field. 2+ years of experience designing consumer electronics or similar products. Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360). Strong understanding of user-centered design principles. Portfolio showing previous consumer product designs. Experience with prototyping and collaborating with engineers. Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding or 3D printing. Preferred: Experience in smart home products, remote controls, or home electronics. Knowledge of UI/UX design for electronic interfaces (e.g., buttons, touchscreens).
