Hi, On July 17, 2023, my fiancé was convicted of heinous crime. He was given 2 life terms with 20 years to follow. They gave him the max based on past charges of drugs and driving from 2008 and earlier. Despite not having any physical evidence tying him to the assault, the witness's testimony was used as the jury's reason for guilt. I hired a paid attorney that performed within the budget of what I paid him. The only witness he called was the ex. He never spoke with anyone, verified anything or filed any motions. There was so much evidence to back my fiancé but not submitted. Her family even wanted to testify and couldn’t. Even the jurors stated they wished they had more concrete evidence from both sides. We are trying to get his story out because we need help to fight this case. He’s already been in jail for two years. I feel he was wrongfully convicted and deemed guilty from the very beginning, so no one put in much effort to verify her story. Can you please help us get this story out? Can you help us fight? Do you know anyone that can help us legally? He’s losing his whole life for an accusation without proof. Here are some ways that you can help: 1. Sign this petition as well as getting others to sign asking that attorneys take the ethical oath more personal when they take on a case. Unfortunately, Anthony’s attorney made money the issue. While I do agree, everyone deserves to be paid, it was not paying him that was the issue. It was a lack of effort to assume we couldn’t come up with the money. Write to your local government and police stations informing them of the importance of gathering evidence as well as having sufficient information to arrest someone based on the evidence collected and tested. Our government officials need to know that arresting individuals with lack of evidence that has not been tested or linked to the accused disrupts not only their lives but their family and friends. It is time-consuming for anyone involved in the case and creates and overcrowding of the jail where there is already a lack of officers. 3. His story will be online to share via social media.
