Historically, I have been highly research oriented. I have an MSEE and I am an expert at MATLAB programmer I am very good at implementing a self-contained research papers or projects in which you know the details, the more the better, of what you want implemented.
I have studied and been involved in several areas of simulation. These are:
Digital Signal Processing
Digital Filters: Time/Space & Frequency Domains; Time Invariant and Adaptive
Digital Image Processing
Feature Extraction
Clustering Algorithms
Pattern Recognition
Speech Processing
Optimization Theory
RF Simulation
CAD 2D Geometric Programming
I typically start a project by finding out as much as I can about it via chat. I need to go through a feasibility study and literature search before accepting a project once awarded. This takes usually a day to three, depending on mutual availability.
Courteous, ready to go the extra mile, very quick to resolve the issue and understood the issue perfectly. Stephen is a very talneted and skilled individual in the field of Image Processing , the way he handled the project from pre-processing , feature extraction to classification was very cooperative and professional. Would hire again and again.
thanks Stephen!
highly recommended ,very professional work, delivered on time and on budget, very helpful communication and the code full commented ,sure will hire again
- Algorithm Engineer; Cummins-Allison Corporation, Mt. Prospect, IL (847-299-9550);
Established DSP algorithms for repeatable scores in MATLAB and (6 CPU) TI DM642 fixed point C++ real-time embedded firmware for fuzzy classification between good and bad (worn, tears, tape, and graffiti) US Currency notes ($5, $10, $20, $50, $100) in all applicable series (years/styles). Designed algorithms to align, denominate/series, compare with Brick templates, and score. We used Clear Case for source control.

- Algorithm Engineer; Digimarc Corporation, Beaverton, OR (503-469-4800)
Developed and tested new digital watermarking technology (steganography) in C++, consisting of image alignment, region separation, spectral IF shaping, block coding using pseudo-random PN sequences, turbo coding error correction, and Kerdock (coset/Walsh) codes. We used Visual Source Safe for source control.
