One Thing for Men is seeking a freelancer who can assist with recording and editing our church sermons for distribution on YouTube and other platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Professional editing of the original (raw) video recording of our weekly men's group Bible study video (typically 30-40 minutes in length. - Posting edited video YouTube within a specific time-frame a. Creates engaging and SEO keyword optimized video title b. Write engaging and keyword optimized video description that features video chapters and also includes appropriate hashtags, video tags, teaser cards, and end screens. c. Create video thumbnail - Create a YouTube community post for our channel that promotes the premiere of the video to our subscribers. - Create social media post to promote the premiere of the weekly video - Breaking down the edited sermon into 3-4 promotional video shorts and posting those to our YouTube channel and on appropriate social media channels. We are looking for a long-term partnership with knowledge and experience to help us grow our online ministry. We have two fixed cameras in the gym where we meet to film the teaching. 1. A volunteer operates the video board to capture the various shots and oversee the audio. 2. Someone else edits the video, which consists of deleting the opening announcements, they insert a series (8-10) slides with Bible verses and questions which display along with an audio overlay during our break for group discussion (we stop filming). 3. They add our branded outro clip. 4. They upload the video to YouTube as a private video Another volunteer creates the YouTube title, video description with video chapters, and turn on subtitles. a. Prior to setting up the premiere or publishing, they select appropriate hashtags and video tags, they add video promotional cards and end screen, and create attractive and engaging custom thumbnails that feature the speaker. b. Create YouTube community post c. Create social media graphics and captions posts to promote the video premiere d. They also attempt create YouTube shorts to promote the long video using AI when possible Our fragmented approach works but it is not as efficient as it could be and all the volunteers are self-taught and not experiences. Ideally hiring a pro would help us grow our viewership and free the 2 of the 3 volunteers to do other things. Ideally we would upload the video file along with any additional supporting information to a shared folder so our video editing and marketing professional could do the rest. Our ministry operates from the beginning of September through end of May and then breaks for the summer months. Historically this would be 34-36 weeks per year, but during the summer months (when there are not any messages to edit) I could see us utilizing the person we hire to start reengineering older videos in our library (400+) to create greater interests and viewership. As I said we are looking for a partner who is knowledgeable about the Bible study content we create, excited to help us leverage the messages we create to reach a much broader audience online than we currently do via YouTube and social media, and the idea of having a long-term client arrangement is appealing as compared to one-off project work.
