I have extensive experience teaching mathematics to UK students across a wide range of ages and abilities. Over the years, I’ve worked with children from Key Stage 1 through to Key Stage 2, helping them develop both their mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills. My approach is always student-centered, ensuring lessons are engaging, relevant, and tailored to individual needs.
I am well-versed in the UK national curriculum and understand the expectations for each stage of a child’s learning. Whether it's helping younger pupils grasp the basics of arithmetic, supporting secondary students with algebra, geometry, or trigonometry, or preparing for SATs.
My teaching methods incorporate a blend of traditional techniques and modern digital tools to keep lessons interactive. I use real-world examples to make abstract concepts more relatable and always aim to build confidence as well as competence. I am particularly skilled in identifying areas where students may be struggling and providing targeted support to help them overcome these challenges.
One of the key aspects of my teaching is fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. I believe that every student can succeed in mathematics, and I work hard to inspire a growth mindset, showing that mistakes are part of the learning process. I focus on creating a safe space where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring different ways of solving problems.
