Forecast Analyst

Title: Forecast Analyst Location: Remote We need the long term candidate for this project so budget will fixed when selected. so we have minimum budget. * IBF certification or progress towards certification preferred. * APICS involvement/certification a plus. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide historical demand by applying appropriate statistical and nonstatistical forecasting methods used in supply chain planning to create the operational forecast for both customer and category demand planning. • Analyze and drive insights from large sets of data out of data lake and other data sources using data-mining and visualization tools. • Create future forecasts for teams to plan production, analyze past forecast performance, and identify opportunities for enhancing existing forecasting techniques • Develop forecast strategies for special events, seasonal items, and new item transitions • Interpret data and drawing insights from various sources and develop aggregate forecast as part of the business planning process. • Facilitate the collaboration between Customer Forecast Analysts, Demand Planners, Market Collaboration Planners, and relationship management with Sales Planning organization. • Support demand signal improvement by influencing the actions and behaviors of the U.S. Demand Planning community through analysis and driving continuous improvement efforts. • Identify, analyze, interpret, and present trends or patterns in complex data sets by using Excel, SQL, Anaplan, Power BI or similar tools. • Design reports and dashboards for consumption by the business. • Perform proforma modeling and ad-hoc analyses. • Perform deep dive analyses into specific issues as needed. • Use quantitative and qualitative methodologies to draw insights and support the continuous improvement of the business. • Interface closely with technology partners to manage analytical environment and acquire data sets. • Collaborate with business to understand strategic directions and adjust forecasting inventory levels. • Communicate regularly with multiple departments within the organization to align key strategies and identify and resolve supply chain issues. • Guide and influence team members with adaptation to new tooling, models, and reporting. EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: • Strong knowledge/experience with reporting packages, programming, and reporting (Power BI, Anaplan, Python, SQL, Rapid Response etc.) • Knowledge of forecasting techniques. • 3+ year experience in Supply Chain Planning. • 5+ year experience in analytical and strategic field required. • Superb analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with detail and accuracy. • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings. • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets preferred. • Deep understanding of data-mining techniques and statistical methods. • IBF certification or progress towards certification preferred. • APICS involvement/certification a plus. • Confident problem solver and presenter (verbal and written). • Outstanding flexible team-player.
