✻ OVERVIEW ✻
You will create a Python script so that when I click on a link such as...
Google Doc 1
that URL will redirect to...
Google Doc 1
Why do I need this feature? Because at some point in the future I might need to redirect...
Google Doc 1
to the URL on a *new* Google Drive account which I have not yet created.
✻ DETAILS ✻
Each Google Doc, Google Sheet, Google Drawing, and Google Drive folder has a URL. For example, each Google Doc has a URL that looks like this...
I have backed up (downloaded) my Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drawings, and Google Drive folders to the SSD (solid state drive) on my laptop computer. Therefore, if Google were to cancel my *current* Google Drive account, I presume that I would upload my backup to a *new* Google Drive account.
For example, let's say I had 2638 Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drawings, and Google Drive folders on my *current* Google Drive account. If Google were to cancel my *current* Google Drive account then I suppose that I would open a *new* Google Drive account. Then I would upload those 2638 Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drawings, and Google Drive folders to my *new* Google Drive account.
In other words, the data that had been on my *current* Google Drive account would now be my *new* Google Drive account.
But, I would then have a problem. The links I had created between my files on my *current* Google Drive account would not work on my *new* Google Drive account. For example, currently I have linked this file...
Google Doc 1
to
Google Doc 2
The link between those files would not work on my *new* Google Drive account because both Google Doc 1 and Google Doc 2 would have been assigned new URLs after I had uploaded them to my *new* Google Drive account. I want to avoid this potential problem.
To accomplish all of this, I suppose that you will probably need to create a very simple Google Apps Script. Why do you think that I suppose that you will probably need to create a very simple Google Apps Script?
