Edna Mylene J.

I took up Management Economics, was a full scholar and graduated with honorable mention at Ateneo de Manila University which is the top university of the Philippines at the world university rankings. I took up my MBA and graduated with honors as well at De La Salle University, another top university in the Philippines. I likewise graduated as a valedictorian in both elementary and high school and was awarded best in Math, Science and English. My good scholastic record gave me the opportunity to work at Makro, a Dutch retailer with presence in the Philippines, other parts of Asia, Europe and South America. I was initially a management trainee, then promoted 3x to other positions such as Assistant Merchandising Manager, Product Development Manager and eventually Merchandising Manager. I was then headhunted by Rustan Supercenter, another top retailer in the Philippines to handle their Merchandise Planning and Control division otherwise known as analytics. After more than 10 years in the retail industry, I moved to the academe. I taught retail management. After my stint in the academe, I thought of finding an online job instead of an onsite job because it would be easier for me to work from wherever I would be, especially that I needed to bring my parents back and forth to the hospital at that time. I worked for an 8-figure Amazon company as inventory manager and eventually moved to another Amazon company for more responsibilities as Amazon store manager. I eventually transferred to a property management company as property manager. My 25 years worth of experience is with 6 companies at 10 different positions and levels in both the retail and travel industry, both online and onsite, both locally and internationally and in the fields of supply chain, assortment management, pricing optimization, product development, sourcing, digital marketing and analytics. I am computer literate in various softwares such as MS Office, C and Javascript. I can speak Filipino and English and a little bit of Japanese & Spanish. On my spare time, I enjoy watching movies. A music lover, I play the piano, the guitar, the xylophone and the drums. I am also very health conscious, engaging in various physical activities such as belly dancing, muay thai and yoga. I love my dog and she makes me happy. Most importantly, I have a strong drive to getting things done, yearning for, thinking of and doing only the best.
