I’m looking for a talented designer to create a cover page for a medical mystery thriller novel, Playing God, by an author from our publication house.
Style: The cover should have a polished, professional look that meets international standards, with a blend of photographic elements and creative design. Experience in photomanipulation or photography is a plus.
Mood/Theme: The novel delves into IVF, designer babies, and genetic manipulation, so the cover should convey a serious, mysterious tone with subtle references to medical and scientific elements like DNA helixes, laboratory equipment, and a hint of divine or god-like themes.
Characters: The cover should subtly incorporate the following characters:
- A woman doctor in her early 30s, six months pregnant.
- Two handsome, fit male doctors in their mid-30s, one in a wheelchair.
- A fatherly-looking male doctor in his early 60s.
- The faces of the characters should not be the main focus but should be integrated creatively into the overall design.
Environment: The design should evoke a hospital setting, without any ethnic or religious attire. It should also balance the serious, scientific tone with hints of spirituality and futuristic elements.
Design Notes: The font should be intriguing and match the novel’s serious yet captivating theme. The cover should appeal to an international audience and maintain a professional, attractive look. Consider creating both an abstract version and one where the faces of the characters are subtly hinted at.
