Hi,
My name is Paul Gregory, I'm a software engineer and architect with 30+ years of experience in the business, much of which has been spent working in the video games industry in various capacities. I have worked at Glu Mobile, Ideaworks/Marmalade, and most recently as the technical partner in a 2-person indie startup, where I was entirely responsible for all development of the game "Tumbly Match", a casual puzzler available on the iOS and Android stores.
I have worked in various capacities in games development in my time, from heading a team creating tools and technologies for mobile games in the pre-smartphone era to creating games as a sole developer. Much of my game development time has been spent with Unity, as such I have a deep knowledge of Unity, both from my time as CTO at Kantar Retail VR and when developing tools and games at Glu and Tumbly Games. For my personal projects and fun, I use Godot for rapid development and prototyping, and to enable low-level access to the engine internals not afforded by the commercial Unity product.
In addition to lots of hands-on development experience with more frameworks and languages, than I can remember, I have spent significant time working in a managerial role, building and organising specialist teams, remote and local, and managing complex, multi-tiered projects.
Sincerely
Paul Gregory
